Rohde & Schwarz FSE Series LED Backlight Upgrade Kit

This  is an LED upgrade kit to replace the CCFL backlight tube in the Rohde & Schwarz FSE series of analysers. 

Included in the kit is:

• LED strip, LED driver board and wiring loom with brightness control
• Glue for mounting the LED strip in to the old CCLF mount
• Cleaning wipes and lint-free cloths for cleaning the LCD panel and instrument glass
• Replacement foam surround which often degrades on these instruments

Fitting of this kit takes a couple of hours and requires only hand tools (plus optional soldering iron) and a large workbench. The kit can be removed at a later time if required and will not permanently alter or cannibalise the instrument. 

Please note:

This kit is not compatible with some very early "red face" analysers which contain a Toshiba LCD panel. If you have one of the red face units (red trim around the screen on the front panel) you will need to remove the rear feet using a Pozidrive PZ2 screwdriver and slide back the top cover. Look inside the front panel and if you see a small backlight converter box as in the photo above, this kit will not work with your unit.  This kit is designed to replace the CCFL tube in an NEC NL6448AC30-10 LCD panel and not the earlier Toshiba panel, so please check first before ordering this kit if you have a "red face" instrument.
